I wanted to love this because I'm such a fan of all those involved, but it just came across as rather soulless. And weird for the sake of being weird.

A judgement of Mirrormask mostly depends on the taste. If you like exotic and unnatural effects, and a somewhat dark and eerie story, then you should definately take this out. I loved it.

I watched this twice and that is enough for now. Nice teen story. Great CG but a bit on the dark side.

This film was a real treat for the eyes. I really enjoyed it a lot. The story was at times hard to follow - I had to rewind and replay a few scenes - but well worth the momentary confusion in the end. The combination of Neil Gaiman's story, Dave McKean's visuals and direction, and the Jim Henson Company's puppetry mastery made for a wonderfully eclectic tale.

Beautiful visually, but the story line was hard to follow and a little slow.

Fantastic movie, visually stunning. If you enjoyed Labyrinth or The Never Ending Story you'll like this too.
