I did not care for this graphic novel. I know they are villains, but they do not deserve what they are being put through. The final scene in this story is horrible.

A great entry point for fans wanting to get into Suicide Squad right now with the movie coming out.

Deadshot and Harley Quinn are rightfully the stars of this team and they make it an entertaining ride.

My 3rd New 52 graphic novel is head and shoulders above the rest. The writing is solid so far, and the art work is worth an extra star. Still it is going to have to start moving forward and not just keep showing what nasty people everyone involved is. One character, El Diablo, has reformed and is now something of a do gooder and a super bore. He does not fit this book at all.

The book has something of a Dirty Dozen feel to it, as various villains are basically forced by the government to go out on missions that can't be traced back to them. Harley Quinn and Deadshot are the only characters of the lot that see real development, which might be a problem as the series goes along, and it's hard to find a sympathetic character in the lot. Still, the pacing of the story moves along quickly.
