Hey everyone,
First of all, I'd like to make it no secret that I'm a Christian. Due to this fact, perhaps this book meant more to me than it would to a non-Christian. However...THIS WAS THE BEST BOOK I HAVE EVER READ!!!!!!! I have been searching for a series like this for years, one that looks at the future from a Biblical standpoint, and here it is, plunked right down on my lap. I highly recommend this series! It follows two people from very different backgrounds: Rayford Steele, an experienced airline pilot, and Cameron "Buck" Williams, a young, talented journalist. So when millions vanish, they must search for the truth. As I said, this is a soul gripping, thought provoking story which I guarantee you will read in one sitting. God Bless!

I really wanted to love this! It sounded so interesting. The concept was fantastic. It was incredible hearing thoughts and ideas of people who were left behind. It is inspiring to tell people about Jesus. I think I would have preferred this one being shorter. Seemed to go on for a while about nothing in particular.

Prophecy can be so confusing that I love seeing how the Rapture could happen today. The only thing is that it's such interesting read that I find that I have to remind myself that this is just the author's interpretation of things and not necessarily how everything will actually happen.

For a first bookin a series... alittle dull, hopefully it will improve. But worth the read. The plot does move fast. The dialogue is a little hard to follow at points in the novel. And can't help but say there is a religious sub-plot. but like I said worth the read for end of the world thinking and reading. I will be reading the next book.

One of the best series ever, I am now extremely informed on the end-times events to come.

This series definitely made me more ready for when Jesus comes!

Definitely reccomended.

Summary

Add a Summary

Rayford Steele and Cameron "Buck" Williams are two different people from entirely different backgrounds, but when millions of people suddenly disappear, their circumstances will bring them together. Rayford Steele is an experienced airline pilot, and when a hysterical flight attendant informs him that half the passengers have disappeared, he must quell the mayhem while wondering if the rest of his family are still with him. Buck Williams is a young journalist with unbelievable talent. Riding in the airplane that Steele is flying, he rigs a makeshift phone to reach civilization below with the news of the disappearances, but upon learning that this is a widespread occurrence, he must figure out a way to get back to New York and his boss among crashed planes and car pileups. As terror grips the world, people try to make sense of it. Some believe it is aliens, others believe it is a natural phenomenon, and still some believe it was some sort of cleansing. Steele, gripped with grief over his lost wife and son, knows the real reason: Jesus Christ has come to take his own, and Steele and his daughter, Chloe, have been left behind. Determined to learn more, he embarks on a spiritual journey that will change his life. Meanwhile, Williams is on the trail of a conspiracy group and discovers a far more ominous back story.

Rayford Steele, a middle-aged husband, father, and commercial pilot, is flying a full plane across the ocean while contemplating an affair with his flight attendant when the Rapture happens and millions all over the world are taken to Heaven in a flash leaving all of the people who rejected Jesus behind. Chaos ensues, but Rayford is determined to find answers for himself and his daughter, also left behind. Simultaneously, the antichrist is beginning his rise to power. I found the story incredibly interesting and the ending to be downright jaw-dropping.
