Fun Technicolor Busby Berkeley directed Americana musical. Good dance scenes, including 'Strictly USA'.

I particularly enjoy Betty Garrett, who really lights up the screen, although swimmer Esther Williams is good, too. It seems that Betty grew up here in Seattle.

The film's success led them to continue with 'On The Town' (also Sinatra and Gene Kelly) the same year (1949) - which I rate a bit higher. But both are good, as is (hopefully) the earlier 1945 Anchors Aweigh, which I will be watching soon.

Not a terrific film, but amusing and entertaining. The cast is wonderful, as is the dancing.
