Really funny show. It's so weird and goes way overboard, sometimes testing the limit of people's comfort levels, but that's part of what makes it so funny! It's also packed with suble joke after joke that many times you don't notice until rewatching.

Season 2 features my favorite Rick and Morty episode, "The Ricks must be crazy", which guest star's Stephen Colbert. The episode has a number of subtle and overt ontological references that you would normally find in a college philosophy course. Hilarious stuff.

The episode "Total Rickall" is tremendously good, the rest of the season is pretty fun too.

I'm just gonna repeat what I said about the Season One DVD:
I liked this, but it may only be funny to hardcore SF geeks & Dan Harmon fans.
Viewer beware!

If you're a fan of Back to the Future and Adult Swim hit comedy shows (Futurama, Robot Chicken, etc.), you may want to check this show out.

It is not necessary to be familiar the first season. And while it is an animated sitcom, I was pleasantly surprised to find some story and character background thrown in the mix.

Some viewer discretion is advised, however, for mature rated content (violence, language, etc.).

Overall, this is a fun and wacky show worth watching.
