The Sorcerer Supreme won't stand for that -but to bring the thunder down on Misery, he needs a little help from Thor! Then, Clea walks back into Doctor Strange's life just as he's picking up the pieces from the worst beating he's ever taken. Spectacular art! A wisecracking Doctor Strange, however, just seems wrong.

Something is going very wrong as strange begins to see the signs of his magic losing its potency. A solid and fun to read start to the new doctor strange.

Jason Aaron delivers again. This is fun and trippy!

Nice modern reboot of a B-side Marvel character. Interestingly, Dr. Strange is cast as a bit of a playboy.

The writing is top notch in this first collected volume of the current solo series for the wizard of the Marvel universe. Aaron has the right take on the character and the bizarre world he faces to protect this world. While I usually have many, many problems with Bachalo's artistic style- and those problems are here nonetheless- it's lessened somewhat by the sheer weirdness of the things Strange has to deal with on a daily basis, and so Bachalo's art doesn't hamper the story as it would with other writers.

I've never really met Doctor Strange before. I've heard the name, know about the movie coming out, but that's about it. This was really weird but also really wonderful. I also love the inclusion of a librarian who is there to organize his library, which is far more unwieldy than most.

So, it was fun, and I'm keen to read more

Contrary to other reviewers, I think this is a refreshingly fun take on Doctor Strange full of personality and imagination. Top work across the board, from the engaging script to the surreal art. A wonderful way to whet your appetite until the movie arrives in November 2016.

How many perfectly good trees were wasted to publish this?

This take on Dr. Strange is just plain awful. Save your time and pass on this one.
