Since beginning the Bootleg Series in the early 90s, Bob Dylan (Or should I say Nobel laureate Bob Dylan?) has kept his hardcore fans happy with live albums, outtakes, alternate versions, unreleased tracks, soundtracks, and the like. Volume 12, "The Cutting Edge," compiles all the sessions from 1965-1966, a short, but brilliant period that produced three of his greatest albums: "Bringing It All Back Home," "Highway 61 Revisited," and "Blonde on Blonde." You can get the massive box set, which, for example, has an entire disc devoted to multiple takes, or you can pick up this 2-disc, 37 song set, which gives you the highlights. This is clearly meant for the serious fan who wants to hear multiple versions of iconic songs like "Desolation Row" and "Like a Rolling Stone." It does have a few unreleased songs, which will please the Dylan fanatic.
