Classic metal heads unite - this record is oozing with doom, gloom, and haunting melody that will surely stick in your brain after it has stopped playing. The Night Creeper calls back to all the hallmarks that made early metal so great (and terrifying), emphasizing some obvious Sabbath influences. To be quite frank, Uncle Acid incorporates far more interesting vocal melodies than Ozzy, with their dual vocal harmony approach. This album feels both familiar and refreshing. Psych and garage rockers may find elements that fit their flavor profile as well amidst the droning, fuzzy guitars. One notable downside is that some tracks bleed together as the record goes on, but I would attribute that more to the genre than the individual tracks themselves. Highlight tracks: "Waiting For Blood", "Melody Lane".
