As an aspiring young writer in San Francisco, Michelle lived in a scuzzy communal house; she drank, smoked, and snorted anything she got her hands on; she dated men and women and sometimes both at once; and she forged a literary career between hangovers and dead-end jobs. I enjoyed this book. The writing is good. Having not read anything by this author before I was not sure what to expect but I wasn't disappointed. Good quick read. Tea is funny. She tells of the lessons she has learned looking back on her life. And about finally finding happiness and love.
