Add a CommentI liked this historical and biographical non-fiction DVD series. It is 570 minutes long. Uncover the real stories behind the legendary figures whose lives and exploits took center stage in the invention of the mythic Wild West in these eight documentaries. The Wild West collection features documentaries about some of the most controversial and mythic figures in American western history. From Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid to Billy the Kid, from Custers Last Stand to Geronimo's fight against the U.S. government, learn the real stories behind some of America's greatest western tales. What this fine series does is give us a history lesson in America through the lives of eight people in the second half of the 19th century and a bit of the 20th: Annie Oakley, Buffalo Bill, Kit Carson, Jesse James, Billy the Kid, Butch Cassidy, George Armstrong Custer, and Wyatt Earp.
