Short simple advice, but not as compelling or well written as his other reads. Prefer Omnivore's Dilemma and Cooked.

This book must have been a breeze for Michael Pollan to write - it sure was a breeze to read! Sort of a summary of his In Defense of Food, this almost-pocketbook (it's almost small enough to keep on hand throughout the day!) provides you quotes, anecdotes and moer about how we should focus (or not focus) our eating. From old wives tales to etiquette rules, Mr. Pollan really has created an easy manifesto for "good" eaters everywhere. Remember: Eat food, not a lot, mostly plants!

This little book is great but it deserves only 3 starts because it is only a summary (quick and easy to read) of Michael Pollan awesome book: In Defense of Eating. If you are lazy read this one, if you want more details and a better read go to In Defense of Eating instead.

Fantastic book for sensible eating. Loss the diet and just stick to these rules. This is a pocketbook of the rules that were explained in "In defense of food".

Short form of the conclusions from his previous book, which explains how after millennia of successful human diets we Americans have managed to embrace a diet that causes deadly diseases.

Entertaining yet to-the-point: "Eat food. Mostly plants. Not too much." He has great rules for recognizing food.

A quick 20 minute read that manages to simplify and clarify the mountains of information out there about what we should be eating for optimum health. I loved this book and highly recommend it! Its humerous, helpful, and I only wish I'd read it sooner.
