Insidious Chapter 2 The movie, I give this movie a 4 out of 5. This is the second movie to Insidious, and it is the first movie that I've watched out of the series, so disclaimer I only know a little bit of information when it comes to the actual storyline. This is a really good movie in my eyes, there were little parts to the movie that made the movie have its feel to it. As of the Jumpscraes, some of them were useless but the did scare me at times when I got too comfortable with the movie, which is one thing you should never do with a horror movie. The movie was written well as it was very easy to follow along, and it involved one of my worst fears of earing something at night of dark figures in your room. This movie gave me a chill down my spine and I loved it. Apart from the scary parts and the storyline, the soundtrack of this movie is amazing and it fits perfectly with the movie, for me when I movie has a good soundtrack it makes the movie ten times better. Because you know when things are going to happen but you don't wanna look away for my mind goes crazy onto what happens if I don't look and I miss this great part in this movie. I highly recommend this movie to any horror fans out there, but I recommend for people who are 15 and older due to the mature themes. This was a great movie and hope you enjoy it as much as I did. -@IceCream of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

I like Insidious: Chapter 2 more than Insidious. The story line in this film immediately followed the Insidious film but explain more about what had happened in the previous film. Like they had mentioned, The Further is a timeless place, so the time-travel like setting is the most amazing part in Insidious: Chapter 2, at least to me.

Starting where the original left off (read my review) we revisit the Lamberts who are still beset by a very persistent and mean-spirited ghost—only this time it’s not young Dalton who’s in trouble, it’s dad who’s not quite himself. Cue more sudden jolts and spectral mayhem as those ghostbusting geeks from part one gear up for yet another demonic showdown accompanied by their now deceased manager. Although it’s all pretty much déjà vu by now, James Wan’s morbid sense of fun still rings loud and clear as he plays on our childhood fears whether it be a dark closet at the end of a darker hallway or something nasty at the foot of the bed. A rather ridiculous background story manages to tie up all the loose ends and some imaginative segues to the original movie allow us to see that film in a slightly different light (so that’s what was banging on the front door!) Alas, it all ends with the promise—threat?—of a series of Insidious spin-offs. No James…NO!

This was so convoluted, I couldn't finish it. I got about an hour in and shut it off. I really love Patrick Wilson but he couldn't pull off being the evil one.

Some movies are better off without a sequel.

As far as sequels go, this was a pretty good one.

This wasn't the worst movie I've ever seen, it is far from being good. I fast forwarded a lot but not all the way. Very predictable but still entertaining.

Yes the first one was better but this was good and worth seeing! But be warned there will be a 3rd chapter
