As I never read the Darkest Powers trilogy (by this very author), I did not understand the references between the introduction of the "new characters" who had a past. Or what that past was, but to be very honest, I almost felt like there wasn't much thought happening as I read this book. Afterwards, however, I did a lot of questioning and reflection. Why was it that I couldn't enjoy this book as much? I don't know whether to blame the books and their lack of interest, or if it was my own preferences. However, I would definitely recommend this to people who enjoyed "Twilight" and "Teen Wolf" and such.

I'm just finishing the series - remember reading about the Cabals before but can remember which book ... what other books are they in?
This book was amazing and probably the best from the whole series. I especially loved the ending, how everything turned out.
This book was amazing. A great way to finish off the series. Read some spoilers, and it kind of spoiled it. But over all, amazing book
aw I just read a spoiler too! :( people please don't just say the ending. The rest of the series was awesome and I can't wait to read this one! ;D
This book had a great ending! I love when a series leads to an outcome that makes sense and is so perfect! Although my favourite book in the series was the first, this one one came close in second place.
It has been a while since I read the first two books in this trilogy so it took me a little while to get into this book. However I did enjoy this book. I also like the way everything came out and it had an ending. It left another story a possibility but it gave an ending. I also like the conclusion of the love triangle. It was not all teen angsty. Nice ending to a good series.
Not as strongly written as the previous books. Still a fun read, and am glad Maya made the decisions she did. I cannot see this being the end of things at all. Eventually they'll have to grow up, right?
I reeeeeally wish Maya stuck with Rafeal!!!!!!!!!!! But this was the best series i've read in a looong time.
I agree with the previous comments, it was my favourite book in the darkness rising trilogy, I especially loved when the two series collide near the end of the novel. I hope Armstrong does continue with an encore trilogy.
Definitely the best of the series, I loved meeting Ash, and the ending isn't definite so if we're all lucky Kelley Armstrong will continue!
I AM SO EXCITED TO READ THIS BOOK AND I AM SO SAD THAT I JUST READ A SPOILER!!! OMG TT^TT IT BRINGS TEARS TO MY EYES!
it was a good book. i am glad she introduced mayas brother into he. hes cool. also i like how the ending is open for if she ever wants to do a new series
I loved this book and series!!!!!! I'm soo happy Kelley brought back the Darkest Powers characters back because I absolutely loved that series and the characters in it. I really loved the new character Ash! I liked the ending of the book, it ended the series nicely. There were suprises in the book and the ending was one of them. Amazing book and amazing series!!!
i didn't like the series at all. maybe its because i was comparing it too much to the darkness powers series which im completely in love with. I did like some characters like i really liked Rafe and Ash they pretty cool but ehhh to the rest. I was happy with the characters that came back from the old series but it wasn't the same. I mean like they where running to get away to just end up still being watched which sucks. i hope a new series comes out tho lol i still have faith.
i love how it was set in my city Vancouver and i love how Ash was sore of brotherly protective of Maya even though they just met.
i didnt like it that much. It felt like it was kinda rushed at the end. And i really hated the fact the Maya broke up with Rafe to date Daniel!!!!!
The only part i loved was when they teamed up with Chloe, Derek, Simon and the others!
I really loved her Darkest Powers Trilogy better.
The book was pretty good but I didn't really like the ending of the book/series. I hope there will be one final series after this one. I think that the Darkest Powers series was a lot better than the Darkness Rising series.
They could have expanded more and spent more time focusing on the other supernatural group when they met up, I was actually expecting the book to end once they found the other group, but instead it moved fairly quickly and didn't focus a lot on them or them using their powers.
i just finished reading this book, and i am sad to say that the ending was a dissapointment. I think it was pretty unexpected, and (SPOILER ALERT*) if you are a rafael fan, you will definitely be sad :(
