Kansas has a rich, creative film history stretching back to the '50s. Two showings this summer are generously offered by Joel Sanderson and KU Film Historian Ben Urish, who have researched and preserved these local films. They offer a historic context regarding the creators and will speak to their digitization efforts. Montage Series explores painting, poets, and Kansas landmarks shot by filmmakers in Wichita starting in the 1950s.
