Tables of Content III

6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Lawrence Public Library

Description

How about something new? That’s the point of Tables of Content. We're going for another chance at this activity because we received so much positive feedback from the first ones. It’s a little like ‘Speed Dating’ but WITHOUT the dating. We will have six tables this time (this might keep the sound levels down), each with a subject of interest like books, music, etc.. You will rotate around the tables and in so doing meet new people at each table. All you need to do is talk for 1 minute or less about what you like or dislike about that table’s subject. In the end you will have a chance to return to the table that most interests you and/or the people who most interested you. Knowing that there is common interest, perhaps you’ll make new friends; perhaps you’ll decide to meet someone new for a meal, or go to a museum, or join a book club, or grab coffee. The worst that can happen is you will have a fun evening, a few laughs, get some snacks and some wine or beer. The best thing is you can make some new friends with common interests. Trained staff will be there to guide you. By that I mean that RetroActive leaders and other staff will try to help you figure out this maze as best they can. Oh, and did I mention there will be wine, beer, and snacks?

This sessions subjects will be Art, US Travel, Favorite Food, Hometown, Sports/Leisure, Music.

And newcomers are always welcome! See you in the Library Auditorium for a great evening from 6:00 to 8:00pm. Hopefully we will see some new faces this time. And please let us know if you need to cancel for any reason as the numbers are important to the rotations.
