Indigenous People’s Day

FRI | Oct 13 | 5-8 PM | Lawn and Auditorium

Join the Indigenous Community Center, the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks, and Lawrence Public Library for this event honoring indigenous identity and culture. 

5-6pm: Drum and community round-dance on the Library Lawn
6:30-8pm: Indigenous-led land acknowledgement and screening of Tending the Wild in the Auditorium, followed by a Q & A. Tending the Wild is a native film that focuses on Traditional Ecological Knowledge and Indigenous land stewardship practices. Wrap up by 8pm.
