Start at the library and take a stroll downtown while you read this year’s KRP picture book in store windows located on Massachusetts Street. Pick up a map for the walk from the children’s desk or online and make sure to participate in our Beanstack KRP challenge to earn free copies of this year’s books and a chance to win a Toy Store gift certificate.

It’s Kansas Reads to Preschoolers Month! We’re participating with librarians across the state to bring you Eric Litwin’s Groovy Joe: Ice Cream and Dinosaurs at storytimes along with Susie Jaramillo's Los Pollitos and Wynton Marsalis's Squeak, Rumble, Whomp, Whomp, Whomp.

We've created a reading and activity challenge for you to enjoy with your preschooler throughout the month of November. To participate, follow these steps:

• Sign up for the challenge at bit.ly/KRPbeanstack
• Read 100 books to your preschooler
• Complete the Storywalk
• Watch 3 Virtual Storytimes
• Check out a book bundle
• Check out a Wonderbook
• Get 5 in a row on our Early Literacy Bingo

If you complete all of the activities and earn all of your badges, you could win a gift card to The Toy Store.
